Team of Jasani Dhruv, Abhishek Bhatt and Jay Kishan of Third Year Computer Engineering students won the Vadodara Hackthon conducted on 7th Dec for their project titled “Life Beets Digital Blood Bank”.
Team of Harsh Mauny, Devarsh Panchal and Naivedh Shah of Third Year Computer Engineering students got runners up title for their project “Salvador- A Security App” in the Vadodara Hackthon.
Team named Overclocked Brains of Dwij Patel, Harsh Gandhi and Parag Radadiya of SY Computer Engineering had participated virtually in a Hackathon organized jointly by Devfolio, USA and Binance Labs, China. They received $500 as a first prize for random number solution and $250 as a second prize for using LUA (Scripting language) Smart Contracts- a BlockChain Technology.
A Project Entitled “Physical Rehabilitation Using Motion Sensor” developed by Patel Vraj, Verma Kshitij, Jain Vedant and Patel Dhruv of Final Year Computer Engineering students, guided by Dr. Bijal Talati won “Dewang Mehta IT Award 2019” with cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/-.
Shiv Vyas a student of CE Department, SVIT Vasad under the guidance of Dr. Neha Soni (HOD CE. Dept.,) was selected to showcase his innovative projects namely “Economical Deployable Optical Network Communication System for Space and Water”. In this, he developed a secured and economical system which can be used by astronauts and scuba-divers for communication with each other in space or underwater, for faster transfer of data from space to earth and from ocean to earth surface, communication of different aircraft and Submarines with each other. This system can be used to communicate with any lost astronaut or spaceship in space or a lost ship or diver in ocean. Shiv Vyas has bagged the 5th Prize in the ProjectExpo 2019, Surat and has awarded a cash prize of Rupees 10,000 for the project “Economical Deployable Optical Network Communication System for Space and Water”.
Pushp Rathava student of Computer Engineering Department, SVIT Vasad won the Best NSS volunteer award for his Contribution in NSS Activity at Gujarat Technological University 2019.
Ms. Dipal Shah, Student of Information Technology Department and Nikita Patel Student of Computer engineering department of SVIT, VASAD secured position in TOP three at "Devang Mehta IT Awards 2018" along with Cash Prize of Rs. 1,00,000/-. Devang Mehta IT award ceremony held on 10th Aug, 2018 in that out of 112 projects, this project entitle with "Automation in Walking Stick" secured position in top 3.
